Umbrella weather! Stampin' Up "stepped up" cards

It has been "monsoon" season here in Arizona - humid, rainy, wet...reminds me of when I lived on the east coast....it has caused my sinuses and allergies to act up and I have not been well the last few weeks.  So yesterday I finally went to the doctor, who told me I should have come in sooner (never had that happen before!) and I had to get two (!) shots and antibiotics.  My bad...but already I'm feeling a little bit better and food is starting to taste good again.

Monsoon season is the Arizona summer thunderstorm season and is approximately 56 days -- there is more rain during this time - every day, and mostly cloudy.  And of course it is hot - around 100 degrees.  I thought the Stampin' Up stamp set Weather Together and matching framelits are perfect to share!  It has a cute umbrella, and I like umbrellas.

With the framelits, you can easily die cut lots of cute umbrellas without that fussy cutwork!!  At the beginning of this post was an easy and quick card to make using this set from the Stampin' Up Artisan team (they provide tons of great ideas).  If you like to make cards with a little more embellishments, here are 2 "stepped up" cards based on the easy card:

Embossing paste and the cloud decorative mask are used on the last card.  You can purchase the items for this card in my online store, and if you want to get a discount on Stampin' Up items, by joining as a demonstrator, you not only get this, but ideas, promotions, advance notices, tutorials, and so much more....check it out in my online store:

If you really, really like umbrellas, here is another pretty stamp set with an umbrella, Beautiful You.

Hope you are staying drier than we are here!

Happy Mothers' day! Stampin' Up retiring products

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, etc. out there! Even if you don't have human children, you might be a furbaby mother, and that counts too!  A little present for you above :-)

Actually, it is the gift I sent my mother this week, along with a special card I made her.

Since my mother likes Audrey Hepburn, I used a Hero Arts stamp for her card.  There is a combination of mostly Stampin' Up products on the card.  There is only until the end of the month to purchase retiring products from the Stampin' Up catalogs, so you will want to get them now in my online store!  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/promotions

You can check out the Eastern Palace Suite that will be in the new Stampin' Up catalog in my online store too:

Hope you have a great Mother's Day - we are going to a buffet dinner - yummy and I think I might hear from both of my sons too...

May blog hop - Mother's Day project

Welcome to this month’s blog hop with Di's Country Inkers!  Our blog hop theme this month is Mother’s Day/florals.  Here is my project:

I used the Beautiful You stamp set, and instead of just a Mother’s Day card, I had some pretty little frames, so I designed an insert for it. I plan on printing off the greeting, Happy Mother’s Day, since I can use my laptop to make it just the right size for the frame that way.  Here are a couple more pictures of it:

You can get all of the Stampin’ Up products I used in my online store:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/marynoble/
These items will only be available until the end of this month, since the current Stampin’ Up catalogs will be retiring!

The next blog you will hop to is:

Enjoy her awesome project and the rest of the bloggers' designs as well, and thanks for stopping by!
